Marina Policies & Rules

Review the guidelines that help keep Pelican Point Marina safe, organized, and enjoyable for all boaters and guests.

1. General Marina Conduct

All guests and slip holders must follow posted marina rules and staff instructions.

Respect other boaters, guests, and marina property at all times.

Disorderly, unsafe, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

The marina reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who violates policies.

2. Slip Usage & Occupancy

Slips are assigned and may not be transferred or sublet without marina approval.
Boats must fit within assigned slip dimensions.
Only approved vessels may occupy a slip.
Dinghies, jet skis, and additional watercraft must use designated areas.

3. Boat Condition & Maintenance

Boats must be maintained in safe and seaworthy condition.
No major mechanical repairs, sanding, grinding, or painting are allowed in slips without permission.
Fueling must be done safely and in designated areas only.
Oil, fuel, and waste must be disposed of properly.

4. Power & Water Use

Power and water hookups are for normal boat use only.
Extension cords and connections must be marine-rated and in good condition.
The marina is not responsible for electrical damage to boats or equipment.

5. Safety & Fire Prevention

Fire extinguishers are required on all boats.
No open flames on docks.
Smoking is prohibited near fueling areas and where posted.
Emergency lanes and access points must remain clear at all times.

6. Noise & Quiet Hours

Please keep noise to a reasonable level at all times.
Quiet hours may be enforced during evening and early morning hours.
Loud music or excessive engine noise is not permitted.

7. Pets

Pets must be kept on a leash while on marina property.
Owners are responsible for cleaning up after pets
Aggressive animals are not permitted.

8. Vehicles & Parking

Park only in designated areas.
No long-term vehicle or trailer storage without approval.
Speed limits must be observed within marina property.

9. Storage & Winter Services

Storage services are subject to availability.

Boats must be properly prepared for storage.

The marina is not responsible for damage caused by weather, acts of nature, or improper winterization.

10. Shrink Wrapping & Winterization

Services are provided by Pelican Point Marina or trusted third-party providers.

Customers are responsible for confirming service details and scheduling.

The marina is not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing conditions

11. Insurance & Liability

Boat owners are encouraged to carry adequate insurance.

The marina is not responsible for theft, loss, or damage unless caused by marina negligence.

Use of marina facilities is at the owner’s risk.

12. Environmental Responsibility

No dumping of trash, oil, fuel, or waste into the water or on marina grounds.

Use designated waste and recycling containers.

Help keep Lake Pepin clean.

13. Compliance With Laws

All local, state, and federal boating laws must be followed.

Boats must be properly registered.

14. Policy Changes

Policies may be updated at any time without prior notice.

Current policies will be posted on this website and at the marina.
